Is Testing and Tagging expensive?

Test and Tagging of equipment is relatively inexpensive and there are a few things that you can do to help make it even more affordable. During an on-site inspection, a technician will consider ease of access and the number and type of appliances to be tested. Also considered are the number of safety switches and their location relative to power outlets.

Some clients have draws or cupboards containing old appliances or cords that they no longer use. These are required to be tested as they could be put back into service. If they are no longer required, discard them. It frees up space and ensures that you are not testing equipment unnecessarily. You may be able to identify some appliances that are obviously in need of repair. Why not discard or repair them prior to having Test and Tag performed. It will save you money and keep you safe!
